1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp butter
4 oz beech mushrooms
4 oz shiitake mushrooms
Pinch of salt
½ tbsp neutral oil
1 tbsp ginger, finely minced
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
4 green onions, whites chopped and greens thinly sliced
1 liter chicken broth
1-2 tbsp tamari
2 cups chinese broccoli, chopped
1 packet Laoban Mala Beef dumplings
Sesame seeds
Cilantro
Chili oil
Lime
Pickled ginger
Instructions

Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add butter and sesame oil.

Once hot, add the mushrooms and cook for 7-9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Remove from the pot.

Add the neutral oil, ginger, garlic, and the chopped white part of the green onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, then add the chicken broth and tamari.

Bring the soup to a simmer, then add the chinese broccoli and Mala Beef dumplings. Cook for 4-6 minutes, until the dumplings float and the chinese broccoli is tender.

Pour into a serving bowl and garnish with sesame seeds, the green onion tops, cilantro, pickled ginger, and fresh lime.
