The recipe originated at Laoban’s traditionally-inspired Chinese dumpling shop in Washington, D.C. Now, you can enjoy these handmade, craveworthy dumplings at home in minutes. Simply boil, pan-fry, or steam to enjoy!

How To Prepare Dumplings

  • Steamed Bring water to a rolling boil. Line steamer with parchment paper or oil. Place dumplings on steamer, cover, and steam for 12 mins (9 mins for soup dumplings).
  • Boiled Bring water to a rolling boil. Add dumplings to water and boil for 8 mins, or till dumplings bob to top. (Not recommended for soup dumplings).
  • Pan-Fried 1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan over medium-high heat and place dumplings in pan. 2. Add enough water to cover dumplings halfway up, cover, and cook for ~5 mins (3 mins for soup dumplings). 3. Remove cover and keep cooking till water evaporates & bottoms are brown, about 5 mins (3 mins for soup dumplings).

    These were delicious!!! The pork soup dumplings were definitely a great tasting side and really flavorful. My only concern, however, was the cooking process. I followed the instructions but they still came out slightly soft on the bottom and stocked to my pan. Used a cast iron, maybe it was my own fault? Not too sure but I did enjoy these regardless.

    I was extremely at how delicious the soup dumplings. They were so moist and so and favorable. They truly tasted like they were from a gourmet restaurant. I only wish there were more to enjoy.

    this frozen dumplings from laoban dumplings has great taste and authentic flavor as Asian dumplings. it is easy to cook, i chose to cook it in boiled water and dip it in vinegar it taste great.

    I enjoyed the dumplings. They were easy to cook by steaming them on top of parchment paper. In my opinion they were rather expensive; there were 8 in the bag and one of them was missing filling.

    When I got these I intended on having them for appetizers but ended up using them in a soup. They were unbelievably delicious and complimented the soup perfectly. Very authentic flavor! Will definitely buy these again.
